Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenges Americans to contact their senators, demand RFK Jr. confirmation
The confirmation for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been quite the battle. Nevertheless, in spite of his “long and complicated life,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich believes that RFK Jr. should be given the position of Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Gingrich agrees with RJK Jr.’s assessment of America’s healthcare system: It’s actually a sick-care system, not a healthcare system.
“America spends more on sick-care, and Americans have gotten sicker,” Gingrich said in his Gingrich 360 Newsletter.
“If we stop focusing on insurance and sick-care – and instead focus on what sustains health and long life – we will get dramatic results. The population will be healthier and the system will be less expensive. We will save lives and money,” he said.
Gingrich believes that shifting the focus of the American people to “health rather than sickness – and prevention rather than treatment,” is a key focus for, “one of the great revolutions we need to make America healthy again.”
“Every citizen should contact their senators,” Gingrich insisted, “and demand Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation. Our lives, health, and finances will all improve if he can lead a national debate and force change on our deeply broken health care system.”
