Election officials are grappling with recent revelations that thousands of non-citizens have tried to get on voter rolls and a few foreigners have even managed to cast ballots. So one state is taking matters into its own hands.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has placed new signs — in English and Spanish — at all 2,400 voting precincts across his state warning non-citizens they will be committing a crime if they try to cast a ballot this fall.
The “Secure the Vote” signs in plain black and white have a clear message: “Only United States citizens may vote in Georgia,” the signs state in bold letters, citing the specific statutes.
“If you are not a United States citizen, it is a violation of state and federal law to vote,” they added.
Raffensperger was one of the first election officials nationwide to sound the alarm on growing evidence of non-citizens trying to vote, especially as millions of illegal aliens have been allowed to cross the border under the Biden-Harris administration since 2021. […]
