On Thursday, longtime loyal Trump ally Kash Patel was confirmed by the Senate, and less than 24 hours later, he was sworn in as the nation’s ninth director of the FBI.
Before Patel took his official oath of office, however, the new director of Indian heritage had already issued his first set of orders for the FBI and a stark warning for those who would violate the nation’s laws, according to the Hindustan Times.
He informed those who would “harm America” that they would find no respite or safety anywhere, as the FBI would “hunt you down in every corner of this planet.”
Patel gets immediately down to business
Following his 51-49 Senate confirmation vote on Thursday, FBI Director Patel wrote in an X post, “I am honored to be confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Thank you to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for your unwavering confidence and support.”
“The FBI has a storied legacy — from the ‘G-Men’ to safeguarding our nation in the wake of 9/11,” he continued. “The American people deserve an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice.
