How stupid and offensive was the the Super Bowl halftime show? Here’s a game that has evolved over the decades to become an unofficial American holiday and long shared a patriotic spirit similar to that felt during Fourth of July celebrations. It has created and sustained tremendous brand value for the National Football League. But rather than protect that investment, Roger Goodell and the NFL lit it on fire for laughs.
Or to make a political statement… I guess. Because it’s pretty difficult to ignore the intended message of “entertainers” singing in a foreign language, waving foreign flags, and simulating raunchy sex while promoting open borders and endless immigration. We get it. All non-English-speaking foreigners intend to invade America, have many babies, and take over the country.
I’m surprised Goodell didn’t recite some soppy poem proclaiming that America’s greatness depends entirely on non-Americans from not-so-great places breaking in, fleecing taxpayers, and voting for the same awful policies that made their wretched homelands not-so-great in the first place. Maybe next year the Somalis who have conquered Minnesota can perform their famous ritual dance in which they commit social welfare fraud while laughing at all the stupid Americans willing to commit suicide-by-cop for their sacred honor.
I am so tired of seeing foreign flags being waved in my country. Where else in the world would such behavior be tolerated? Do the multicultural zealots among us actually believe that citizens in China, Mexico, Iran, Pakistan, or Russia would just sit back and clap every time an American interloper ran through their streets waving Old Glory? They’d get curb-stomped before having a chance to teach the locals that “diversity is our strength.” The idea of taking over entire neighborhoods in foreign lands and proclaiming them “Little Americas” is not well received in countries that take their borders seriously.
Try carving out an American quarter in Tehran, and see if the authorities are as welcoming as Michiganders have been to the huge number of Iranians living around Detroit. In the United States, Americans are supposed to feel so “lucky” to be surrounded by so many conquering cultures.
If you’ve left your country of birth, moved to the United States, and become a legal citizen, then put down your old flag. If you’re actually one of us now, it’s time to wave the red, white, and blue. If you’re not one of us, then go home. There’s no shame in that. Make your home country better than it is today. But for goodness sakes, don’t mooch off America while showing allegiance to other places and pretending that those places are superior to the land that has welcomed you. Joe Biden and his criminal cabal let ten to twenty million foreigners into the United States under the made-up rationale that all these people were desperate to leave the dangers of their homelands and claim “asylum.” And what do all these foreigners do after America “saves” them from the terrors of their native states? They proudly wave the flags of nations that supposedly wish them harm.
“We’re a nation of immigrants,” the leftards and presstitutes all whine. Forget that horsepucky. America’s original immigrants tamed the wilderness, settled these lands, and took care of themselves. The illegal immigrants reaching our shores today grab taxpayer-funded debit cards, live in public housing, vote unlawfully, and game the social welfare system for maximum benefit.
They come, collect, and send American tax dollars back home to pay for more family members to immigrate illegally into the United States. We were a “nation of immigrants.” Now we’re a nation of fraudsters, welfare queens, saboteurs, and foreign conquerors. The old immigrants fought for Uncle Sam; the new immigrants steal from Uncle Sugar.
Beware, America. This year the Puerto Ricans appropriated America’s Super Bowl and turned it into a Spanish advertisement for “Reconquista.” Next year Roger Goodell will probably showcase a troupe of dancing pandas all singing in Chinese. A few years from now Islamic troubadours featuring austere religious scholars and sexy, burqa-clad ladies will be all the rage. This is America, dammit! If you’re actively promoting foreign cultures, then you’re betraying the very essence of what it means to be an American.
I remember once naïvely believing that football would be immune from all the jiggery-pokery-wokery that began taking over the United States during Barack Obama’s community-organizing-efforts to “fundamentally transform” America into a third-world communist trench. After all, football is a man’s game! Big, tough dudes bust up other big, tough dudes in front of scantily clad cheerleaders jumping around on the sidelines.
Surely the wokesters would never be able to finagle their way onto the gridiron! Surely the surplus of testosterone would be too much for the beta-male-soy-boys and their screeching, AWFUL (Affluent, White, Female, Urban, Leftist) clowder of cat-Karens to stomach!
Boy, was I wrong. The men of the NFL fell faster than a leftist activist pretending to be shoved by an ICE agent. Roger Goodell turned Sunday football into a chalkboard-scratching lecture about “social justice,” “patriarchy,” and “white supremacy.” Black football players making a lot of money began complaining that they were treated like “plantation slaves” serving white coaches and owners who had the audacity to act as their “masters.”
Some guys complained that the NFL Scouting Combine — where college players demonstrate their skills before the NFL Draft — felt a lot like an antebellum slave auction. Colin Kaepernick started a whole trend wherein pampered professional athletes kneel during America’s National Anthem to protest how awful it is to live in a country willing to pay them millions of dollars to play a game.
This preening exercise in ego-flexing, virtue-signaling self-indulgence eventually ensured that the NFL added the so-called “Black National Anthem” to be sung alongside “The Star-Spangled Banner”…you know, the official anthem of the United States. Any young child watching a football game at home is left with the unmistakable impression that black and white Americans represent two separate countries. Now that Juneteenth has been propped up as an “Independence Day” for black Americans wholly distinct from July Fourth (which is increasingly presented as a “white” holiday), the NFL is just doing its part to further divide Americans by race.
To my utter astonishment, Roger Goodell and his libtard friends have managed to take the manly sport of football and turn it into a sanctimonious affair for priggish elites wishing to drown the masses with “political correctness.” Men used to settle their differences on the gridiron. They left the field with blood- and grass-stained pants, shook hands, and called it a day.
Now they whine about how “disrespectful” the refs, coaches, or fans were while they were dancing in the end zone or showboating on the sidelines. Sports reporters are more interested in discovering which players might secretly support President Trump than they are in covering the most crucial plays of the day. We get two “national anthems.” We get halftime shows performed entirely in Spanish.
The great American game of football puts politics first and Americans last. The NFL is a disgrace.
